The Heisman Hopefuls Podcast Goes Into The Trenches In Week 7

The Heisman Hopefuls Podcast, in its fourth year interviewing the nation’s top players from across the country, heads into Week 7 with interviews originating from deep in the trenches.

This week, we feature chats with two of the best linemen in the country, Kentucky left tackle Lance Heard and Tennessee nose tackle Xavier Gilliam.

Both are projected first round picks in the next NFL draft. Heard, one of the key bricks in the “Big Blue Wall”, shares his love for his position and walks us through his viral “two for one” block party against South Carolina.

Gilliam breaks down the finer points of playing nose for a Tennessee line unit that leads the nation in sacks.

We also get a local perspective from Lexington Herald-Leader writer Mark Story, who tells us why Kentucky’s win over LSU was the program’s “best night ever”.
