Video: President Reagan congratulates Doug Flutie at the White House

Five days after Boston College quarterback Doug Flutie won the 1984 Heisman Trophy, he was at the White House to receive congratulations from President Ronald Reagan.

Reagan gave a speech praising the Heisman tradition as well as Flutie’s memorable season.  Then the Heisman Committee presented Reagan with an Honorary Heisman Trophy.
