Marcus Mariota Elected Into Oregon Athletics Hall Of Fame

Marcus Mariota, the 2014 Heisman Trophy winner, was among five Ducks recently named to the Oregon Athletics Hall of Fame class of 2025.
Mariota, Oregon’s sole Heisman recipient, was a no-brainer selection to the Ducks’ 34th Hall of Fame class and was elected in his first year of eligibility.
The most decorated football player in school history, Mariota led Oregon to more wins – 36 – than any other Duck signalcaller, while breaking numerous school and conference records in just three seasons.
Mariota, who will be entering his 11th season in the NFL this fall, led Oregon to the 2015 CFP national championship game while also earning the school’s second unanimous first-team All-America award. His 2014 season honors included Player of the Year by the Associated Press, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, and the Maxwell Award. Mariota was also recognized by the Davey O’Brien and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm awards as the nation’s top collegiate quarterback.
The Pac-12’s first three-time all-conference first-team quarterback finished his career with the school and league record for total offense (13,033), as well as the University’s all-time standards for passing yards (10,796), passing touchdowns (105), 300-yard passing games (17), completions (779), attempts (1,167), completion percentage (.668), and starts (41).
During his 2014 Heisman Trophy campaign, Mariota directed the most efficient offense in the country and led all quarterbacks nationally with a total quarterback rating of 90.9, while finishing third among FBS quarterbacks with 4,454 passing yards. He set school season records for passing yards (4,454), pass completions (304), attempts (445), completion percentage (.685) and touchdown passes (42).
Mariota was selected second overall by Tennessee in the 2015 NFL Draft and has played 10 years in the NFL, throwing for over 16,000 yards and nearly 100 touchdowns.
